Doris Dervin Dunn Of Southampton Dies January 11

Doris Dervin Dunn of Southampton died on January 11, 2017. She was 94.

She was born Doris Clancy in 1922 in Queens, the daughter of the late John Clancy and Eva West.

Ms. Dunn was a dancer, starting very young and becoming a professional dancer; she eventually owned her own dance studio. In retirement she taught classes to adults at the Rogers Memorial Library.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Edwin J. Dervin; and their son, Patrick Dervin; and her second husband, Walter Dunn.

She is survived by her children, Maureen Dervin and husband Ron Hill; Dolores Schilt, Michael Dervin and wife Grace; and Kevin Dervin; and her step-children, Walter Dunn and wife Barbara and Sue Brevoort; her grandchildren, Kirsten Drab, Courtney Cesario, Brian Dervin, Edwin Dervin, Chloe Dervin, Karen Wolff, Diane Feil, Marianne Mendel, Eddie West, Shawn West, Derek Dunn and Brian Cowell; and many great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays on January 13, followed by burial at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Rosalie Parish Social Ministry and Food Pantry, 31 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, New York 11946.
