Dorothy V. Pintauro Of Sag Harbor Dies March 16

Dorothy Veronica Pintauro of Sag Harbor died at the Westhampton Care Center on March 16. She was 87.

Born in Brooklyn on August 22, 1926, she was the daughter of Frank and Susan Meurer. She attended classes at the Art Students League of New York and at the Art Barge in Amagansett. She devoted her life to making a home for her family.

Ms. Pintauro was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Pintauro, and a son, Frank Pintauro. She is survived by three children, Barbara Lobosco and husband Stephen, Ritchard Pintauro and wife Lynette, and Robert Pintauro and wife Laura, all of Sag Harbor; 10 grandchildren, Tony, David, Danielle, Samanthe, Stephen, Jaclyn, Michael, Daniel, Melissa and Megan; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother, William Meuer; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Pintauro. A brother, Walter Meurer, and a sister, Rosemary Filippone, predeceased her.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church in Sag Harbor. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
