Edward J. Feeley, DDS, of Southampton died on January 15 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with his wife and mother at his side. He was 51 and the cause of death was leukemia.

Born in Hollywood, California, he was raised in Richmond Hill, Queens, attended Archbishop Molloy High School, graduated from St. John’s University and Georgetown Dental School. He married Annette Patalano in 1987, the same year he started his dental practice in Southampton, which he later moved to Water Mill.

Survivors noted that Dr. Feeley had many talents. He was an avid decoy carver, for which he won many ribbons and had a love of birds, nature, art and music. He lived life to the fullest, they said, and died with such grace and dignity. He will be deeply missed by many friends as well as patients, they added.

Survived by his wife, Annette; daughters, Michelle and Allison; his parents, Eleanor and John; brother, John A. and his wife Ann; sisters Lynn Finger and her husband Augie, and Anne Higgins and her husband Chris; his mother-in-law, Ann Patalano; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A funeral Mass was held on January 20 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church in Southampton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Feeley Family Fund, c/o Bridgehampton National Bank, P.O. Box 3005, Bridgehampton, NY 11932, Attn: Claudia Pilato, or donations can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
