All scrimmages and games for the spring high school sports season have been suspended until April 3, Section XI, the governing body of Suffolk County high school athletics, announced on Friday, due to the coronavirus pandemic. “As the coronavirus progresses, in an effort to be prudent, Section XI will suspend all games and scrimmages until April 3. UPDATE: Thursday, 3:55 p.m. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association, the governing body of New York State high school athletics, has postponed any and all winter championship games indefinitely.
