Dumpster Fire

I think it is worthwhile to again recap the Trump/Vance campaign “strategy” for last week.

On Monday, August 26, Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery, and proceeded to break all rules of decorum there, so much so that the U.S. Army actually issued a statement criticizing his behavior. To further insult that sacred space, Trump campaign advisor Chris La Civita called the people at Arlington “hacks.”

On Wednesday, August 28, Trump reposted a overtly vulgar post from X directly referring to oral sex with a picture of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris.

Then on Friday, August 30, he announced that a six-week ban on abortion is too few weeks. “I need more” he said. The very next day he reversed his position saying he would vote for the six week abortion ban in Florida.

In his deluded state of election denial last week, Trump also told Dr. Phil that if Jesus had done the vote count in California he would’ve “won that state” in the last election.

Meanwhile, his mini-me, J.D. Vance, just returning from a disastrous video op at a donut shop in Georgia where he made a total fool of himself trying to order donuts, and was later booed by a firefighters union because of the campaign’s anti-union stance, decided he’d better redeem himself.

His next move was an online post comparing Kamala Harris’s CNN interview to an embarrassing video of a 17-year-old Miss Teen USA contestant in 2007 completely flubbing a question asked of her during the pageant.

Besides insulting the vice president with such a comparison, by resurfacing that video he rehumiliated that lovely, anxious young woman who was trying her best.

It was shortly revealed that the young lady stated a few years later that she was so depressed and embarrassed after that episode that she considered suicide. Apparently, even when he was made aware of this information, it was irrelevant to J.D. His theme this week appears to be that we all need to “laugh at ourselves” a little more.

So in the dumpster fire, aka Trump/Vance campaign, this week they made fools of themselves, reversed positions, demeaned women, posted vulgar misogynistic messages and insulted the military.

So when they lose this election in November and start screaming “voter fraud” it would be important for those who might buy into that nonsense to realize that their campaign “strategy” was probably the reason they lost. That and their insincerity, incompetence and general hatred of other human beings who don’t think like they do.
