I recently heard the exciting news that Bill Pell, Southampton Town Trustee since 2009, has decided to share his talents and experience by running for Southampton Town Council. As Town Trustee, he has shepherded the town’s efforts to preserve and protect our waterways.
I had the good fortune to enjoy a guided tour of the Peconic Bay by Bill on his boat one afternoon and learned how knowledgeable he is, not only about estuaries but about managing town resources as well.
After Bill’s years of living in Southampton and caring about our land and water, he has earned my respect and admiration. I’m delighted that he will be able to expand his influence and further his environmental goals serving as Southampton Town councilman.
