Edward F. X. Kelly Of Hampton Bays Dies August 21

Edward F.X. Kelly, 69, of Hampton Bays died at his home on August 21, after a long illness. He was a special education teacher at Little Flower Children’s Services in Wading River.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Ryder); and four children, Kammy Kelly of Hampton Bays, Kiernan Kelly and wife Anne of Port Jefferson, Kyle Kelly and Kaitlin Kelly of Southampton; three grandchildren, Evan Kelly, Myla Kelly and Chloe Kelly; two brothers, Jack Kelly and wife Gina, and Charles Kelly; and a sister-in-law, Heliena. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Kelly.

Visiting is on Wednesday, August 24, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays; a prayer service will begin at 4 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. Burial will follow, with military honors, at Calverton National Cemetery.
