Elaine C. Barrett, a lifelong resident of East Quogue, died on September 15. She was 81.
Ms. Barrett is remembered best from the many years she spent serving people at Carolyn’s Luncheonette in Hampton Bays, survivors said. She enjoyed spending time with her friends who came in every day. She enjoyed playing games and was very active at the Hampton Bays Nutrition Center, playing mahjong with her friends and calling the numbers for bingo.
She is predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Barrett. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Don and Lorrie Barrett of Manorville, Vicki and John Biancaniello of Westhampton, Terri Skaggs of Maryland, Nanci and Tom Muller of Hampton Bays, and Steve and Anne Barrett of Hampton Bays; and 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at R.J. OShea Funeral Home and burial was at Calverton National Cemetery on September 22.
