Eleanor Chomicki Of East Quogue Dies June 21

Eleanor Chomicki of East Quogue died at her home on June 21. She was 89.

Born in Calverton on September 15, 1923, she was the daughter of Ollie and Katherine (Golaski) Demchuk. She worked as an account clerk in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Riverhead. Among her life’s pleasures were gardening, fishing and clamming, and cooking.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 2003; a brother, Ollie, and a sister, Marion. She is survived by three children, Joseph of Texas, Christopher of East Quogue and Elaine of Speonk; and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Interment was at St. John’s Cemetery in Riverhead.
