Eleanor T. (Guzewicz) Zebrowski of Southampton died on November 15 at Peconic Bay Medical Center, due to ongoing complications from a heart valve replacement procedure performed earlier this year.

Ms. Zebrowski, born in Southampton in 1927, was a lifelong resident of Southampton and graduated from Southampton High School in 1945. Shortly after the end of World War II, she married her neighbor and childhood sweetheart, John J. Zebrowski. The couple had been married for nearly 50 years when Mr. Zebrowski died in 1995. Ms. Zebrowski spent much of her life as a manager of various retail stores on Main Street and Jobs Lane in Southampton. Following her retirement, she spent her time gardening and traveling around the country to visit her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Leonard, Jack and Mark; three daughters-in-law, Jeannine, Ju and Tina; six grandchildren, Renee, Glenn, Avery, Emma, Alexandra and Maximilian; and four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Gabriel, Gavin and Connor.

The family received friends at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton on Monday, November 17. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 18, at Our Lady of Poland Church. Reverend Janusz Lipski and Reverend Paul Dahm, a dear family friend, co-officiated the Mass. Burial followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
