Elizabeth L. Smith Of East Hampton Dies June 3

Elizabeth L. Smith of East Hampton died on June 3. She was 80.

A lifelong resident of East Hampton, she was born December 29, 1934, the daughter of Russell and Louise (Dederer) Field. Devoted to making a home for her family, she was also the president of the Sight Council at the East Hampton Senior Center.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. Smith, she is survived by her children Debbie Torris of Colorado, Darlene Smith, Vivien Smith and Joseph Smith, all of East Hampton; siblings, Patricia Lopez of Texas and John David Field of Utah; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Lindsley.

Visitation was the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton on June 6. A funeral was held at Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton on June 8, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
