The Eastville Community Historical Society in Sag Harbor will host an evening of stargazing on Saturday, November 29, at 5 p.m. Hamptons Observatory senior educator William Francis Taylor will give a talk titled “Winter Stargazing: A Journey Through the Night Sky.” If skies are clear, the talk will be followed by stargazing through Hamptons Observatory telescopes, or participants may bring their own. Southampton Town is once again bringing holiday cheer with its annual Letters to Santa program. Children are invited to share their Christmas wishes by sending a letter along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, including details like their name, wish list, siblings, pets, hobbies and anything special they’d like Santa to know. Letters can be mailed to the Parks and Recreation Office on Newtown Road or the Hampton Bays Community Center on Ponquogue Avenue, or dropped off in person Monday through Friday.
