Emma Cunningham of Hampton Bays died at the Riverhead Care Center on Wednesday, June 18. She was 97.

Mrs. Cunningham was a homemaker and the wife of George Cunningham, who predeceased her.

She is survived by a daughter, Carole Mahoney and her husband Terrance of Hampton Bays; four grandchildren, Susan Timm Sirignano, Pamela Timm Seeberg, Richard George Timm, and Jacqueline Mahoney; and four great-grandchildren, Daniel and William Sirignano, and Andrew and Alden Seeberg.

A wake was held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on June 22. A prayer service on June 23 at the funeral home was officiated by clergy from St. Rosalie’s Roman Catholic Church in Hampton Bays. Interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance, Drawer 997, Hampton Bays, NY 11946 would be appreciated by the family.

Nod to the Past

Refuse Surprises

The Noyac Civic Council once again is proud to have many volunteers join in the Great East End Clean-Up. This year, we had a few different surprises as we picked up the usual trash along Noyac Road. A New Jersey man was arrested by Southampton Town Police over the weekend and charged with unlawful surveillance after a woman told police she suspected that he had used a remote camera to watch her in the bathroom.
