Why should the people of our village pay for lifetime health benefits for the trustees after they have only served in their positions for five years of part-time work?
Mayor Jesse Warren’s resolution to eliminate these current health benefits was put down by Trustees Robin Brown, Bill Manger and Roy Stevenson, who are all running in this election and would be the ones, of course, to benefit most directly from keeping the legislation on the books.
The Village of Westhampton Beach decided that the people of their village should not pay more taxes for similar legislation, and they voted it down. If Bill Manger becomes mayor, he, and Brown and Stevenson as his trustees, will be in the majority and will do whatever they want to keep these benefits for themselves, serving their own personal interest above that of our whole community.
Please vote for Mayor Jesse Warren, Greg Centeno and Palmer Hudson on June 16.
