Erika Strebel of Eastport was killed tragically after being struck by a car on November 2. She was 27.
Ms. Strebel was born on October 22, 1986, in Bennington, Vermont. She moved to Eastport in 1990 and graduated from Eastport South Manor High School in 2004. She loved dance, especially ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap.
Ms. Strebel is survived by her parents, Leo and Maureen Strebel II of Eastport; a son, Ayden Joseph Biamonte of Eastport; her sisters, Tammy Barton and husband Daniel of Mastic, and Laura Marino and husband Richard of Eastport; and her grandfather, Leo B. Strebel of Eastport. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Ava and Emma Barton, and Donovan, Gavin and Austin Marino.
The family received friends at Sinnickson’s Funeral Home in Center Moriches on November 6. Mass was said on November 8 at St. Isidore’s Roman Catholic Church in Riverhead; Bishop Nelson Perez, Father Tom Pers and Father Robert Kuznik officiated. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.
