Ethel J. Olson Of East Hampton Dies February 7

Ethel J. Olson of East Hampton died at Southampton Hospital on February 7. She was 94.

Born in Queens on January 9, 1920, she was the daughter of Theodore and Hannah Selberg. She graduated from high school, attended secretarial school and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Predeceased by her husband, Rune; a son, Robert R. Olson, a brother, George Selberg; and a sister, Florence Christman, she is survived by a daughter, Judith Comfort of East Hampton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a niece.

Funeral services were held on February 10 at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Interment was at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in East Hampton.

Refuse Surprises

The Noyac Civic Council once again is proud to have many volunteers join in the Great East End Clean-Up. This year, we had a few different surprises as we picked up the usual trash along Noyac Road. A New Jersey man was arrested by Southampton Town Police over the weekend and charged with unlawful surveillance after a woman told police she suspected that he had used a remote camera to watch her in the bathroom.
