Eugene Muller Of Quogue Dies April 15

Eugene Lee Muller, known as Lee," of Farmington, Connecticut, and Quogue, died at the UConn Health Center on Monday, April 15. He was 83.

Mr. Muller was a retired investment professional, working primarily in the New York City area. In addition to Farmington and Quogue, he formerly resided in Greenwich; Jupiter, Florida; Pinehurst, North Carolina; and Aiken, South Carolina.

He was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts to Eugene Muller and Genevieve Gogan Muller. He graduated from Boston College High School and earned a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine from Boston College in 1950. Following college, he worked briefly at a paper mill in Lewiston, Maine, where he played semi-professional ice hockey. He later joined an advertising 
agency in Manhattan before moving into executive roles at several New York investment firms, where he worked for 
more than 30 years.

Mr. Muller married Patricia Anne Manning of Plattsburgh, New York, in 1958. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary together on Friday, April 12. Mr. Muller was an avid golfer and had been a member of the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck since 1955. In addition to his love for his family, Mr. Muller cherished the relationships he established through the years at Winged Foot and while playing golf in Aiken, Pinehurst, Jupiter and Quogue.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Muller is survived by his five sons, William Muller and wife Letitia of Georgia, Christopher Muller and wife Christina of Connecticut, Douglas Muller and wife Mary of South Carolina, Peter Muller and wife Tracy of Florida, and Courtney Muller and wife Henrietta of Georgia; a brother, Courtenay D. Muller of Florida; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Muller was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine M. Hoy.

A funeral Mass took place on April 20 at the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Connecticut. Arrangements were under the direction of the Ahern Funeral Home in Unionville, Connecticut.
