Express News Group Hosts Southampton Town Board, Supervisor Debate
The Express News Group hosted a Southampton Town Board and supervisor debate.
The Express News Group hosted a debate between the candidates for Southampton Town Council and supervisor on Friday, October 13, via Zoom.
The debate was broken into two parts. The first debate was between the candidates for Town Council. Incumbent Councilman Rick Martel and Bill Parash are running on the Republican ticket, and Bill Pell and Michael Iasilli are on the Democratic ticket. Parash and Pell are both currently Town Trustees. That portion of the debate was moderated by Deputy Managing Editor Brendan J. O’Reilly.
The town supervisor debate followed, with two candidates seeking to succeed Supervisor Jay Schneiderman, who has hit his term limit. They are Town Councilwoman Cyndi McNamara, on the Republican line, and Westhampton Beach Village Mayor Maria Moore, on the Democratic line. That portion of the debate was moderated by Managing Editor Bill Sutton.
