We live in a vivacious, outspoken, unique town. When democracy is alive and healthy people express their opinions — that’s what we have here in spades. Congrats to us.
This Democratic ticket of candidates for the Southampton Town Board is bringing the diversity of the village and the town to Town Hall.
I have followed all of these courageous fellows through their careers and am proud to support Ann Welker, Dave Calone and especially Maria Moore. These candidates are ferocious warriors dedicated to the environment and the community of Southampton Town.
Newcomers to the ticket but not newcomers to public service, to community outreach and to community dedication are the Shinnecock candidates, Rainbow Hill and Bianca Collins.
Please, look at our candidates, please look deeply at their dedication to our world, our town, and vote.

This week, I’m commenting on the campaign finances of Southampton Village Mayor Bill Manger, Trustee Roy Stevenson and Trustee Len Zinnanti. Residents deserve to know who’s really bankrolling these men. Spoiler alert: It’s not your local business owners on Main...
Thanks to the Southampton Town Democratic Committee for helping voters see clearly, in this upcoming November election, that the only truly qualified candidate for Southampton Town clerk is Sundy Schermeyer. The Democrats’ current candidate Mark Bernardo’s background is in the...
We are writing to request a meeting to discuss pedestrian and vehicular safety issues that exist at the intersection of Long Beach Road (County Road 60) and Noyac Road in Noyac. We have observed several ongoing issues that we believe...
As autumn approaches, the days grow cooler and light fades earlier, and Americans think of falling leaves and hearty stews. Here, for the culinary-minded, is a recipe for this fall — or our fall, as it were. POT AU FEW:...
