Amy Wesolowski, the 34-year-old Riverhead mom arrested for driving under the influence of drugs following a Flanders Road crash on January 13 that killed her 4-year-old daughter, Gracelyn Perkowski, has been indicted on more serious charges.
The indictment will be unsealed on March 29, when Wesolowski is arraigned, but, according to court records, she’ll face five counts brought by the grand jury, including a count of first-degree vehicular manslaughter.
A second felony count of aggravated DWI was handed up, along with misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
Police say Wesolowski was high on drugs when she drove out of her driveway into traffic on Flanders Road, striking another car, with Gracelyn in the back seat. The child died at Stony Brook University Hospital on January 16.
