Former Bridgehampton Resident Stefon Marcel Johnson Dies March 1

Former Bridgehampton resident Stefon Marcel Johnson died on March 1 in Brooklyn, New York. He was 22.

Born in Riverhead, he attended the Bridgehampton School before moving to Virginia, where he attended Churchland High School in Portsmouth. He had a love an passion for music and rapping. Since the day he was born, he fought Sickle Cell Anemia, which ultimately took his life.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tonya L. and Darryl Walden of Virginia; his father and stepmother, Corey and Penny Johnson of Maryland; three sisters, Kori Johnson, Tashay Johnson and Iyannah Johnson; a brother, Corey M. Johnson Jr.; a grandmother, Thelma Smith; four aunts, Debra Ogarro and her husband Morris, Cheryl Smith and Paula Curry and her husband Ed, and Aleta Parker; three uncles, Ronnie Chandler, Andre Johnson and his wife Meredith and Chris Parker. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Herbert Smith Jr.; his grandmother, Margaret Johnson; and an uncle, Kerry L. Chandler.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of J.T. Fisher Funeral Services in Chesapeake. A funeral was held at the First Baptist Church Camelot in Chesapeake.
