Former Sag Harbor Resident Virginia Hollands Preu Died July 15

Virginia Hollands Preu

Virginia Hollands Preu of Marco Island, Florida, formerly of Sag Harbor, died at Avow 
Hospice in Naples, Florida, on Sunday, July 15. She was 96.

Born in Hornell, Mrs. Preu had been a resident of Marco Island since 1978. In Sag Harbor, she was an active volunteer at the John Jermain Library. Survivors said she was a passionate animal lover, social and outgoing, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her two children, Patricia L. Preu of Florida, Peter H. Preu of Northport; a nephew, Stephen Struck and his wife Emily; great-nieces, Julie Pasiecznik and her husband Daniel, and Robin Robinette and her husband 
William. She was preceded by her husband of 58 years, Fred Preu; a sister, Christine H. Struck; and a nephew, George C. Struck.
