Former Southampton resident Hannah L. Miller dies at 92

Former Southampton resident Hannah L. Miller, who lived on Elm Street for 62 years, died on April 8 at the Ruleme Center in Eustis, Florida. She was 92.

Born in Brooklyn, she moved to her longtime Southampton residence in 1946 and retired to Sorrento, Florida, in April of 2008.

She is survived by a sister, Margarita Lahman of Florida; a niece, Eileen Walker of Florida; two nephews, Phillip Lahman and Raymond Lahman, both of Texas; three great-nieces, Phyllis Walker-Kent of Florida and Kim Lahman-Parker and Kristin Lahman, both of Texas; two great-nephews, George Walker and John Walker, both of Florida; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Taylor, Joshua, Elizabeth, Lacy, Andy, Chelsea, Stephen, Faith, Jahnna, Shelby and Ashlynn.

Her husband, Wilbur “Pete” Miller, predeceased her.

A local memorial will be announced in a future edition of The Press. In lieu of flowers, donations to any animal shelter of choice would be appreciated by the family.
