Former Water Mill Resident Andrew Babinski Sr. Dies November 14

Andrew Babinski Sr.

Andrew Babinski Sr., of Eagleville, Missouri, formerly a longtime resident of Water Mill, died Wednesday, November 14, at St. Joseph Hospital in Missouri. He was 75.

Born October 20, 1937, in Southampton, he was the son of Anthony and Caroline (Zankiewicz) Babinski. He owned and operated a dairy and potato farm on Mecox Road in Water Mill with his family. On January 14, 1961, he married Denise Naugles in Riverhead. She survives him.

Mr. Babinski was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Missouri.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Andrew Babinski Jr. and wife Linda, and Joseph Babinski and wife Erica, all of Missouri; a daughter, Joanie Mayer and husband Michael, of Westhampton Beach; seven grandchildren, Victor and Thomas Babinski, Michael Anthony, Morgan and Matthew Meyer, and Olivia and Nicholas Babinski; a brother, Anthony Jr. and wife, Theresa, of Water Mill; and sister-in-law Irene Bialeski of Mattituck. He was predeceased by his parents.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 19, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bethany, Missouri. Interment was at the Masonic Cemetery in Eagleville. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany.
