Francis “Frank” Michael Martuscello of Westhampton Beach died on June 20. He was 67.
Born on March 5, 1948, in Brooklyn, to Joseph Martuscello and Rose Chinigo, he grew up in Plainview. After many years in the deli and nightclub industry, Mr. Martuscello moved to Westhampton Beach in 1995 to establish his painting business. Survivors said he had many passions, including saltwater fishing, gardening, books and print media, and his family.
He was a large proponent of caring for feral cats and an aficionado of dried Italian meats.
Mr. Martuscello was a comedian, storyteller, friend to his kids, “town chef” and “partner in crime,” survivors said.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Martuscello; his mother, Rose Martuscello; siblings. Eydie, Carmine, Robert, Angelina and Gino; four children, Maria, Frankie, Michele and Jenna; and seven grandchildren, Dylan, Johnny, Trevor, Jaz, Micaela, Mason and Miles. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Martuscello; and a younger brother, Joe Marto.
Visitation was on June 23 and 24 at the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 25, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Riverhead.
