Center Island Pharmacy owner and pharmacist of over 40 years Frank D. Silecchia of East Quogue died on March 22. He was 89.

Born in Brooklyn, he had also been a U.S. Army cook and made donuts before pharmacy work for his local donut counter, “The Holey Donut.”

Many Hampton Bays and surrounding members of the community will remember him for his fantastic advice, larger than life laugh and genuine concern for his customers, his family said.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; daughters Maria, Joanie and Selina; stepdaughters, Diana and Jackie; stepson Jason; and grandchildren Kenny, Ruby, Christina, Nicholas, Joshua, Mallory, Haleigh, Savanah and Jack; and great-grandson Theo.
