Frank T. Sargent Dies At 79

Frank T. Sargent

Frank T. Sargent of East Quogue died at Peconic Bay Skilled Nursing Facility on Thursday, April 21. He was 79.

Born December 22, 1931, in Sagaponack, to Robert and Margaret Sargent (née Topping), he served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Mr. Sargent worked as a U.S. Postal Service employee in Southampton for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lillemor; and children, Christopher Sargent and Kristina Mulvaney, both of East Quogue, Anna Marie McLaughlin of South Carolina, and Sean Smyth of Nevada; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were private with arrangements under the direction of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
