Funeral Service For Fred Kollhop Is Set

A funeral service for Fred W. Kollhopp, who died in Florida on April 21, 2017, was held on Saturday, June 24, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Southampton.

Mr. Kollhopp was born in New York City on February 15, 1929, and died at Bay Pines Veterans Hospice, three years after being diagnosed with cancer. He was the owner of Sea Realty with five offices, spanning from Westhampton to Montauk. He was a founding member of Eastern Suffolk Board of Realtors and active in the Long Island Board of Realtors, as well as a member of FIABCI, an international real estate federation. He belonged to all five Chambers of Commerce on the East End and 
was a member of the Southampton Elks and served on the vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Southampton. After retirement, he volunteered for the Dominican Sisters Family Health Service. Survivors describe him as “a gentle soul and full of kindness.”

Mr. Kollhopp is survived by his wife, Patricia; his stepchildren, T.R. Pescod of Southampton and Laura Pescod of Florida; and a granddaughter, Carter; two sons, Frederick and 
William Kollhopp of Nevada; a daughter, Kathy Mascali of Florida; and his stepmother, Harriot Kollhopp; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Rose Kollhopp, predeceased him.

Memorial donations may be made in the form of arranging for the planting of a small evergreen or tree on public land, or to pbs.org.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Mark Green, 44, of Westhampton Beach, was arrested by Westhampton Beach Village Police on November 21 and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.
