Genevieve Evelyn Randall Lanyon of Westhampton Beach died at her home on February 20. She was 97.
Prior to marrying William Liel Lanyon in 1949, she was an instructor at the East Shroudsburg Teacher’s College in Pennsylvania. In later years, she became an active member of many patriotic societies, both in New York and nationally. An excellent golfer and croquet player, Ms. Lanyon participated in numerous tournaments on Eastern Long Island. In 1989, she co-authored a genealogy entitled, “A Randall Family of Long Island, New York”.
Ms. Lanyon was predeceased by her parents, Ellsworth Hawkins Randall and Ella Hawkins Randall; and a sister, Ella Hulse. She is survived by a nephew, William R. Hulse; a grandniece, Meredith Hulse; and several cousins.
A graveside service was held at Union Cemetery in Middle Island. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
