George Anthony Lehman of Westhampton Beach Dies August 6

George Anthony Lehman, originally of the Bronx, and later of Westhampton Beach, died on August 6. He was 64.

He was an avid lover of fishing, the ocean, rock music and football (especially the New York Giants).

He is survived by his daughters, Erin Lehman and Gabrielle Lehman; their mother, Mary Lehman; his grandchildren, Arlena Llamas and Christian Llamas; and his sister Gia Trombetta-Williams. He was predeceased by his daughter, Katherine Lehman; and his sisters, Debra Lehman and Kim Lehman.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 11, from 6-9 p.m., at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. A private cremation will follow.

There are two concurrent news stories competing for the national attention this week. One of them is the Jeffery Epstein story, which many feel could establish a connection with well-known elites and Mr. Epstein’s procurement of underage girls for them. We don’t know if there is any “there” there yet, but expectations were raised. Astronomer To Talk About Mysteries Of Time and Place

Dr. David John Helfand, former president of Quest University Canada and past chair of Columbia University’s astronomy department, will give a lecture Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the East Hampton Library. The event, hosted by the Hamptons Observatory, begins at 7 p.m.
