George Kirkitsos Of Southampton Dies September 17

George Kirkitsos of Southampton died on September 17 at Southampton Hospital. He was 69.

Born in 1944, in Rododafni, Greece, Mr. Kirkitsos served in the Air Force before moving to the United States in 1969.

He married his wife, Kathy, in 1976 and together they raised their three daughters and opened the Hamptons Inn and Water Mill Grill restaurants, both in Water Mill.

Survivors said Mr. Kirkitsos was a hard-working man with a big smile and loving heart. Some of his happiest moments took place at home, working in his garden and having family over to the house.

Mr. Kirkitsos is survived by his wife, Kathy; three daughters, Nicoletta Savod and husband Steven, Demetra Scaglione and husband Philip, and Vicky; a grandson, Steven; his mother-in-law, Nicoletta; and his extended family and friends.

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
