Gerald Joseph Berkoski, known as Jerry, died at home in East Hampton on December 12. He was 67.
Born on July 10, 1947, in Water Mill, he was a son of Francis and Jennie Teresa (Konopka) Berkoski, both of whom predeceased him. A veteran of the United States Army, he served with the Seabees during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had retired from the East Hampton Town Highway Department.
Mr. Berkoski was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (O’Sullivan) Berkoski; a stepdaughter, Tara Mansir; and three brothers, Lewis, Richard and Peter. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Berkoski of East Hampton; two stepchildren, Teresa Schurr of East Hampton and Tina Ozturk of Montauk; a sister, Elaine Berkoski of Southampton; and three brothers, Robert of Florida, Donnie of Hampton Bays, and Rodney of Water Mill; and a grandson, Christopher. He is also survived by step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Services were private.
