Get Things Done

The most common question I am asked is: “Why are you running for trustee?” The answer is a simple one: I love this village.

The three most important things in my life are my family, friends and community. I have spent my life trying to be the best I can for all three. That is why I know I am the right choice for the Southampton Village Board.

During this election, there have been attempts to smear my name with negative rhetoric and false advertisements. I have thick skin and don’t feel it’s necessary to respond to these outrageous attacks from my opponents; I’m focused on why I am the best choice for this village.

I am a Southampton graduate, a coach, a volunteer fireman, a board member, a father, and a neighbor. I have the business experience to get things done and will fight for the people in this village.

I am running because this village needs positivity and experience — qualities that I possess. Another candidate who has these traits is Kimberly Allan.

Kimberly is the most experienced and veteran member we have on the current board. She has more years of service than the remaining members have combined.

Southampton needs Kimberly to continue to serve this community. She does her homework and is always prepared. She knows the ins and outs of the village and has been a great ambassador for the residents. She deserves two more years on the board.

Right now, the environment in the village is a toxic one. It is not the time for inexperience and negativity; it is the time for unity and experience.

Kimberly and I differ on a few areas. At one point, our families were, in fact, political rivals. However, the things that we do have most in common are respect for each other and a love for all members of this community. If we can put our differences aside and run together, then anyone can do it. We have become great friends, and I have enjoyed her company during this wild election.

This election comes down to one thing: Who can get the job done for the residents? The answer is Kimberly and myself. We have the experience, leadership and positive attitudes to bring this village together.

Please vote on September 15 for Kimberly Allan and me, Zach Epley, for Southampton Village trustee. Thank you.

Zach Epley
