Grace C. Rizzo of Hampton Bays Dies September 22

Grace C. Rizzo of Hampton Bays died on September 22, 2023. She was 82 years old and was predeceased by her parents, Margaret (Mikalauskas) and Frank Rizzo.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Rizzo graduated from Angela Hall High School in Brooklyn and continued her education at Mount St. Mary College in New Hampshire, graduating with a degree in dietetics. She worked as a dietitian at Southampton Hospital and spent several years in the banking industry throughout the East End.

Most recently, she worked as a crossing guard at Our Lady of the Hamptons School in Southampton, where she enjoyed the friendship and interaction with children, parents, and teachers alike.

Survivors said she will be missed by many including her neighbors and close community at St. Rosalie’s Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Rosalie’s Church in Hampton Bays on Thursday, September 28, at 10:30 a.m. She will be buried alongside her parents in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Hamptons School in Southampton. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Hampton Bays.

Vendors Sought for Riverhead Holiday Fair

Vendors are being sought for the Wooden Wonderland: Holiday Artisanal Gift Fair to be hosted by the Suffolk County Historical Society Museum on Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Youth Bureau Has Programs Coming Up

The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau has two exciting programs planned for local children this month.
