Grass Is Greener

It is hard to believe that turf is making headlines again. Didn’t we already have this debate?

Didn’t we already come to the conclusion that grass, though it involves frequent maintenance, is the better way to go?

Turf fields contain known carcinogens that are especially harmful to children. Why would we want to expose our youth to that kind of risk? The lifespan of a turf field is 10 years. When it has expired, the field must be torn up and thrown in a dumpster, adding huge costs to the budget and to the environment — and then you have to do it all over again.

Turf is garbage. Let’s stick to the plan and keep the green grass. Healthier kids are happier kids.
