A week ago, I received a letter from Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren offering to help older residents to make an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine. Having had no luck for over a month of trying, I telephoned the number Jesse suggested, which is his office. Miranda, his assistant, picked up and took down my information.
Several days later, I received a call that the local Stony Brook Southampton Hospital had the vaccine and could give me the first shot that very day! They were also able to give my wife and another “senior” their first shots.
This help is greatly appreciated! I hope other residents will have the same success.
One of the nurses I spoke to said there would be more vaccine expected again this week. It is great to have such a concerned and responsive mayor and staff!
