WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Frank Magnone, 33, of Westhampton Beach was arrested on May 24 by Westhampton Beach Village Police and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police said an officer was conducting a traffic stop for seatbelt violation when the driver, Magnone, opened his door to locate his cellphone. The officer observed a black expandable baton in the driver’s side door, police said. Magnone was arrested then released on uniform traffic tickets and a desk appearance ticket to appear in Westhampton Beach Justice Court on June 4.
