Greenbelt Celebration on October 12!

The 25th annual Long Pond Greenbelt Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vineyard Field, behind the South Fork Natural History Museum, 377 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton. Activities will include a migratory bird walk with SOFO’s Frank Quevedo at 10 a.m. and storytime with a representative of the John Jermain Library at 10:30 a.m. Hampton Library will present music and Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons will show off its turtles at 11 a.m. Noon will bring a program on searching for reptiles and amphibians, plus there will be arts and crafts. There will be free refreshments and ice cream.

The event is sponsored by Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, South Fork Natural History Museum and the Peconic Land Trust. For more information, contact Dai Dayton at 631-745-0689 or greenbeltnews@aol.com.
