Gregory P. Zaykowski Of Sag Harbor Dies May 17

Gregory P. Zaykowski, a lifelong resident of Sag Harbor, died on May 17. He was 35.

Born on February 9, 1981, at Southampton Hospital, he graduated from Pierson High School, Ohio Technical College’s auto-diesel school, and was employed at Buzz Chew Chevrolet unitl 2008. He then went to work for his father’s caretaking businesses and as a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at ocean beaches. Survivors said he was always there for a friend in need.

He is survived by his parents, Anthony K. and Mary Ann Zaykowski; and a sister, Christine French, all of Sag Harbor.

Visitation was on May 22 at the Yardley and Pino Funeral home in Sag Harbor. A funeral was held on May 23 at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sag Harbr Ambulance Corps, Box 2725, Sag Harbor, NY 11963.
