Looking For Work?: The Hampton Bays girls’ varsity basketball team is looking for an announcer for its home games. The girls also need someone to videotape their games—the team has a camera. If you are interested in helping out, please call Pat at 728-6026.

Congratulations to the 58 young parishioners of St. Rosalie’s Church who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, November 13.

And a big round of applause for Lily Anne Spellman who has been chosen to portray Helen Keller in the Bay Street Theatre production of “The Miracle Worker.” At age 11, this is her first professional role and will now earn her admission into the Actor’s Equity Union.

The production is part of the theater’s “Literature Live” program, which is geared toward middle and high school audiences. The play runs through Saturday, November 20, with day and evening performances. To purchase tickets, call 725-9500 or log on at baystreet.org.

The bus will depart from St. Rosalie’s Church parking lot at 9:30 a.m. for the 2 p.m. show. Non-refundable tickets are $65 apiece. Registration is limited and payment is due in person at the circulation desk.

The Hampton Bays Beautification Association’s annual dinner dance, “Celebrating the Bounty of Good Ground,” is on Friday, November 19, at 7 p.m., at Indian Cove restaurant. Tickets are $70 and include a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. For additional information, call Madeline at 728-5725.

East End Hospice is hosting a “Toast to Christine Curiale” on Friday, November 19, starting at 6 p.m., at 230 Elm in Southampton. Tickets are $75 each and include cocktails, dinner, live music and dancing. Call Ann Marie Pallister at 723-2721 for more info about that.

A Holiday Hand: St. Rosalie’s Church will be collecting the following items for Thanksgiving food baskets through Wednesday, November 24: canned gravy, corn, fruit, sweet potatoes, green beans, Goya beans, cranberry sauce, instant potatoes and stuffing, cake mix and icing, rice and apple juice. To complete the feast, the church will also gratefully accept frozen turkeys and turkey vouchers.

In addition, St. Rosalie’s is accepting coats to be distributed to the less fortunate in our community. Please drop off those gently used coats Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the Parish Center. (The center is closed for lunch from noon until 1 p.m.) Thank you!
