All the plantings upstreet look beautiful!I would also like to mention all of the pink ribbons that are adorning our hamlet for Breast Cancer Awareness. Ladies, don’t forget to have that mammogram! Southampton Hospital has a new 3D tomosynthesis imaging system in the Hampton Atrium, right here in Hampton Bays.

Happy birthday to Jamie Kraus! Jamie’s big day falls on October 26. Kerry Small shares the same day on Tuesday, October 26. Cheers!

Let’s hear it for Southampton Kiwanis Club! Each Hampton Bays Elementary School third-grader received a brand new dictionary at an assembly that was held earlier this month on October 7.

Kiwanis Club member Jim McMahon taught the students how to use the reference book. Additionally, he spoke about community service and the importance of giving back. This is the 12th year that the club has donated dictionaries to Hampton Bays students.

Tom Humbert is making a faith-based musical movie called “Wholly Broken.” A large number of extras are going to be needed this Saturday, October 22, in the afternoon and evening. The book is also available for purchase for $25 through the Hampton Bays Civic Association and the Hampton Bays Historical and Preservation Society.

While I’m on the topic of things Flanders, FRNCA, the Truth Community Church, and Riverside Rediscovered are putting together a one hour “Trunk or Treat” event next Saturday, at 1 p.m., in Ludlum Avenue Park.
