October has been a very busy month in the Hanson household. Raymond III celebrated his 32nd birthday on October 7. And then he and his wife, Isabel, celebrated their first wedding anniversary on October 16. Isabel’s cake-and-candle day is Thursday, October 20. Also, Raymond III’s dad, Raymond Jr., turns a big six-oh! this Friday, October 21. He and his bride of 23 years, Suzanne, will also be toasting their wedding anniversary on Friday. Wow!
A Golden Couple: John and Maureen Dolan were honored on Sunday, October 16, at a Golden Wedding Jubilee Mass held at the Church of Saint Rose of Lima in Massapequa. The happy couple renewed their wedding vows and received a certificate marking the special occasion. Congrats!

The Hampton Bays High School Music Department is hosting a Golden Oldie Show this Friday, October 21, at 8 p.m., in the auditorium of the school on Argonne Road East. The evening’s lineup is as follows: Steve Mitchell will perform Elvis songs; The Liverpool Shuffle will play Beatles’ music; Larry Liso will croon Frank Sinatra tunes; and Prentiss McNeil will sing Drifters and Jackie Wilson songs. Hair, Nails & Beyond is hosting its fourth annual “Beyond” Breast Cancer Fundraiser this Sunday, October 23, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the salon in the Wild By Nature shopping center. Registration for the Hampton Bays Public Schools Adult Education classes is now under way. Course offerings and registration information can be found on the district’s website at www.hbschools.us.
