The ribbon is cut on the Baymen Financial Literacy Center at Hampton Bays High School on February 29. In partnership with Teachers Federal Credit Union, the center will encompass a comprehensive bank-at-school program and provide students, faculty and staff with access to financial literacy resources and banking services. Southampton Town Declares State of Emergency Due to Drought Conditions

Southampton Town Supervisor Maria Moore on Friday, November 8, declared a state of emergency, citing the threat of fire due to the continuing drought conditions. The state of emergency will remain in effect for 30 days unless it is rescinded or extended.
