Hamptons Adult Hardball, a 30-and-over wooden bat baseball league, will begin its second season with its Opening Day this Sunday, May 15.

The morning will commence with the presentation of the HAH Championship Belt to the 2021 champs, the Harbor Krakens.

The first game of the season, slated for 9 a.m., is a rematch of the 2021 Championship between Tim Pilinko’s Krakens and the Southampton Brewers, previously the South Fork Giants, managed by HAH co-founder Pete Barylski.

The doubleheader will continue with the Sag Harbor Royals, managed by HAH co-founder Jim Kinnier, taking on the East End Ospreys, managed by Michael Chiarello.

“After a successful inaugural season, we are happy to say ‘Play Ball!’ again,” said Barylski. “Our second season looks to be competitive. There has been a youth push by all four teams and more local players. Three of the four teams are back: the defending champs the Harbor Krakens, Sag Harbor Royals and Southampton Brewers, and the new team on the block is the East End Ospreys.”

Both games will take place at the Southampton High School varsity baseball field, located at 141 Narrow Lane, Southampton. The field is located beyond the tennis courts.
