Harold W. Grzybowski
Harold W. Grzybowski of Southampton died on December 8 surrounded by loved ones at his family’s home, following a battle with cancer. He was 69.
Born on August 20, 1943, in Southampton to Stanley Grzybowski and Helen (Stachecki) Grzybowski, both of whom predeceased him, he was a graduate of Southampton High School and attended Farmingdale College. He was a member of the North Sea Fire Department, Southampton Elks Lodge and the American Polish Political Association. He was a well-respected painting and wallpaper contractor for many years.
Growing up on the potato farms of Bridgehampton and Southampton, he acquired a love of gardening. He enjoyed spending time at the beach relaxing, clamming or crabbing and with his family and many friends, survivors said.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine; and a brother, Robert. He is survived by his children, Ann Marie Fullam and her husband Tom, Gregory and his wife Gina; four grandchildren, Brianna and Thomas Fullam and Hayley and Justin Grzybowski; five siblings, Camille Raffel of Southampton, Jack Grzybowski of Hampton Bays, Elaine Wesnofske of Florida, Ronald Grzybowski of Water Mill, and Barbara Immerman of Southampton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle.
A funeral Mass was held at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary on December 12. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
