Harriet Rose Disegni Dies At 88

Harriet Disegni

Harriet Disegni of Hampton Bays died at her daughter’s home in Eastport on Sunday, June 26. She was 88.

She worked as a secretary for the Internal Revenue Service in Manhattan and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the East Quogue Fire Department for 22 years.

Ms. Disegni is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph M. Disegni; and her daughter, Nancy A. Capozzola and her husband Gregory of Eastport. She was predeceased by her son 17 years ago, Joseph M. Disegni Jr.

Visitation and a parish prayer service took place at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 29. A firematic service followed. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 30, at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery in East Quogue.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
