Harry Fuchs of Westhampton Beach died on Tuesday, September 9, of a heart attack. He was 53.

Mr. Fuchs was born on May 5, 1955, in New York to Mimi and Ali Fuchs.

He attended Great Neck North High School and graduated from the University of Vermont. After a long career in the fur business, he started Bison Leasing.

He enjoyed the beach, riding his bike and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Fuchs is survived by a daughter, Casey; his companion, Randi Salmon; a sister, Barbara Fuchs; and his ex-wife, Bonnie Fuchs.

A funeral service was held at Riverside Nassau North Chapel in Great Neck on September 11, and interment followed at Beth Moses Cemetery in Pine Lawn.

A simple fact about the SALT deductions is being obscured with Nick Lakota’s statements in the news. If the 2017 tax rules expire, residents will once again be able to deduct 100 percent of their state and local taxes. If all New York representatives vote together, the new budget will fail. “Fighting” for a higher limit is unnecessary.
