Helene V. Scully died on December 13 at her home in Quogue. She was 91.
Born on February 1, 1923, Ms. Scully survived the Depression, the hurricane of 1938, and World War II. She was board secretary at the Surf Club of Quogue, assistant treasurer to the Quogue Library for many years, and active in the Westhampton Women’s Club. She was an avid bridge player. Survivors said she loved the natural beauty of the East End.
Predeceased by her husband, William H. Scully, she is survived by two children, Helene and Edward. She was the daughter of Edward and Augusta Vermylen.
A funeral was held at Follett and Werner Funeral Home on December 19. Burial followed at Quogue Cemetery.
