Henry A. Rose of Remsenburg died on May 29. He was 93.
Born on April 18, 1922, in Greenport, he was the son of Clarence D. Rose and Edith Hinkelman. Mr. Rose served in the United States Army in World War II during the European campaign, with the 12th Armored Division as a half-track driver. He was an avid boater and loved to play the harmonica. A carpenter, he owned his own business, Rose & Kissel Contractors and Builders, with his brother-in-law, John Kissel.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances E. Rose. He is survived by two siblings, Dewey Rose and Elizabeth Blind; three children, Deborah Brown, Henry Rose Jr. and Jeffrey Rose; five grandchildren, Lisa, Katherine, Michael, Kimberly and Samantha; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Parker and Sawyer.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Follet and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach; details were unavailable at press time.
