Henry “Skip” Schmedes
Henry “Skip” Schmedes of Westhampton Beach and Florida died suddenly on March 30. He was 64.
Skip had been a prominent local figure in the nightclub business in the Hamptons since the 1970s, and was an owner of Casey’s Saloon.
He is survived by his wife Valerie; children, Lindsay and Timothy; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Bill McClintic of Florida; sister, Susan Dando of Rhode Island; sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Steve Hoffman of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held in Jupiter, Florida, on Tuesday, April 5. A memorial service is being planned for this summer. Memorial donations made to the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County (bgcpbc.org) would be appreciated by the family.
